Rating: - A Definite Must-Have for Any Wiggles Fan!
My two-year-old son loves the Wiggles, and this video is their best yet. Leaving behind the cheesy backdrops seen in their other videos, they head outdoors to the Australia Zoo to visit with Steve, Terri, Bindi and the animals. The animal costumes worn by the children and by Captain Feathersword are great, and my son loves watching the characters interact with all of the animals (dolphins, kuckaburras, koalas, snakes, camels and many more). The dialogue between Steve Irwin and the Wiggles also adds an educational element that is lacking in most of the other Wiggles videos. The songs are so catchy that we've ordered the CD so that he can sing along in the car as well!

I have to say that we love the Wiggles at this house... so I give them 3 stars for just being the Wiggles. However, we don't like watching this video. The pace of the editing is way too frantic... frenetic even. My son, who is just 2, says, "Turn it off" or "No Wiggles", and promptly leaves the room. I'd watch it... but he just doesn't want to. Why did they do this? Could the answer be that some of the dancing moves are not up to the Wiggles standard (on songs such as "Cocky Want a Cracker" and "Kookaburra Chorus") and thus, the flashing images are meant to make up for unimaginative choreography (sorry guys, just the way I see it)? Now, to be fair to the 'guys', we are not a TV family. We watch videos because I believe that the hectic presentation of most TV is harmful for young children (and many children's videos are edited at a slower pace). For families who don't mind watching television programming, this DVD will probably not present any problems. And, I'm sure when my child is older, he'll be able to watch this and will probably enjoy it. But not right now. We like Steve Irwin. We like the animals. We like the Wiggles. We like the songs. We just don't like the crazy editing.
