Average Rating: Rating: - Nadia: The Beinnings of an Olympic Champion I loved this movie when I was a little girl, and have been trying to track it down since the neighbor who owned it moved away when I was 10 years old. This movie traces Nadia's career in gymnastics, starting from the moment she was discovered in the schoolyard by Bela Caroli when she was only 5 or 6 years old. We learn of the difficulties Nadia encounters, as her life is slowly taken over by the sport in many ways. However, we also witness all of her victories, starting with the competition where she was chosen to represent her country and first stole the spotlight from the other young gymnasts. The movie follows Nadia's life up to the Olympics, and the gymnastics scenes are all intercut with scenes from Nadia's real performances.I believe that anybody who loves gymnastics will really enjoy this movie. I really hope that it will be rereleased on VHS because I can't wait to buy a copy of my own! Rating: - Nadia is perfection I love this movie so much! I remember first watching it when I was in first or second grade at my neighbors house. Ever since,(1986) I've been looking for it but no movie rental place had it. Now I can watch it all the time. This is the greatest movie ever. Nadia, I believe will continue to be the best gymnast of all time. I don't think anyone today can match up to her perfection in gymnastics, espcially on the uneven bars. Rating: - bring out a re-released video i was very dissapointed to learn there was going to be no more releases of the nadia video,i understand this video was made a lot of years ago but people are still talking about it today and there is an new generation out there who are missing out on such a great video,you see old films on television all the time and normally they are the same ones all the time,i think nadia the tv movie would be a brilliant prospect to have on television,so i think the studio should put the fans need first.if anyone knows where i can get a copy then please let me know as i would like my daughter to see it as she is an up and coming gymnast.
