Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of this year's best movies!
If you love disney animated movies, then this movie is a must watch. And Lilo & Stitch joins Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and Toy Story as Walt Disney's company best movies (after the death of Walt Disney). Or if you love animated movies, you should be able to enjoy this movie, and along with Shrek, Monsters Inc, and Ice Age. As the movie opens, Dr. Jumba (David Odgen Stiers) is showing off Experiment 626, and winds up found guilty, and his experiment manges to escape and head for earth. A little girl named Lilo (Daveigh Chase) mistakes him for a dog, and adpots him. And names him Stitch (Chris Sanders). Lilo lives with her teenage sister named Nani (Tia Cerrere) who is against Stitch. Lilo lives in Hawaii. And Nani gets in trouble with a social worker (Ving Rhames) and warns her that he will take Lilo away if she doesn't watch it. Most of the movie's songs are performed by Elvis Presley, which again Wynonna sings Burning Love and A*teens sings Can't Help Falling in Love. This movie has gotten rated PG for mild sci-fi action. So parents won't have to worry about swear words or anything bad like swear words.

In my opinion, Lilo & Stitch has much better songs than Mulan. You got Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride, He Mele No Lilo, Stuck On You, Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dong, Devil in Deguise and Suspicious Minds all perfromed by Elvis Presley. Buring Love and Can't Help Falling In Love. But the only somngs not perfromed by the king is Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride, He Mele No Lilo, Burning Love and Can't Help Falling In Love. I reccomend this movie to anybody that is an Elvis Presley fan, or loves animated movies, or loves animated movies but one Disney animated movies. My thoughts are, that is one of the best animated movies from Disney. But if you don't like Disney, then you may or may not like this. In my opinion this should get an nomation for Best animated feataure. Also please remember this is a rare Disney animated movie to get a PG rating. And i think that most of the movies coming out Disney, like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame should have gotten a PG but for some reason, the MPAA all gave those movies G rating. I'm not sure of one Disney animated movie (either during Disney or post Disney) that really needs a G rating.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A sweet and fun movie for adults and kids
Lilo asks her sister Nani, "Are we a broken family?" The girls parents died in a car crash, and Nani ("Wayne's World"s Tia Carrere) has been taking care of her much younger sister ever since. Stitch is an alien experiment gone wrong, banished to exile on a desert planet. Unfortunately, plans go awry and Stitch accidentally lands on the island of Hawaii (sign me up for that exile!). While Lilo locks herself in the house to listen to Elvis records (her favorite), Nani is left to contend with and placate the social worker, Cobra Bubbles (Ving Rhames). When Lilo meets up with Stitch at the animal shelter, she mistakes him for a dog and adopts him. He happily goes along, since the "Evil Genius" who created him (Daivd Ogden Stiers) and his sidekick Pleakley (voice of "Kids in the Hall" almuni Kevin MacDonald)are hot on his trail to bring him back. Nani desperately tries to find a job and keep social services from taking her sister, while Lilo teaches Stitch about "ohana" (family) and the true meaning of that word. Stitch sums it up by saying their family is "broken, but still good"- Awwwww...Stitch learned the lesson!

With so many voice talents, and a funny script, Disney has done it again. I would also like to happily point out that Nani has a real shape to her, which is nice to see on a female lead cartoon character (Jessica Rabbit doesn't count). This DVD is loaded with extras. You can play the "Create Your Own Alien" game, or take a tour of each of Hawaii's islands. Get a hula lesson. Hear the Kamehamahama children's choir record the movie's main theme. Or if you want to, you can watch Wynonna Judd recording Elvis' "Burning Love" (which was more of an "Extra Features" filler than any real piece of entertainment, as it was barely 2 minutes long). A fabulous DVD for your Disney collection.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A real Disney treasure
Who would have thought the story of a fugitive, mass-destructive alien crashlanding on Earth could give lessons in the struggle of low-income families, biological engineering, how hard it is to grow up "different", and the meaning of family? It does it all and more in Lilo & Stitch. This is the first Disney movie since The Lion King to inspire that deep-down connection that we yearn for and find very seldom anymore in me. The Hawaiian ambience is beautifully rendered with music and the watercolor backgrounds, and shows that it isn't idyllic in paradise, with Nani desperately trying to hold down a job and support her problematic little sister Lilo. Then enter Stitch, aka Experiment 626, a bio-engineered alien lifeform programmed to destroy. Escaping from exile on an asteroid belt, he crashlands on Hawaii, where he is taken in to an animal shelter--and adopted by Lilo. Meanwhile, the scientist that created Stitch and an alien Earth enthusiast are sent to reclaim the experiment. It is action-packed, but the story is cohesive and drags you in. It proves that everyone deserves a second chance and that "ohaha means family, and family means that no one is left behind."
