The N64 expansion pack is to me a waste of time and money. For $30.00 it is not worth it. It does clear up fog and sharpen graphics, thus making your game run faster and smoother as well, but the difference is not that noticable. However, it is neccessary for Perfect Dark 64, and many new N64 games will require it, so I suggest you get one.
Rating:  - Essential, weather you like it or not.
First of all, this comes with Donkey Kong, so if you're thinking of buying that game, make sure you do, if you don't have an expansion pack.This little thing gives a boost to graphics, and it improves gameplay, but Nintendo should not make people pay this much just to keep playing games. It is essential for new games like Perfect Dark. You may be forced into this, but if you have an N64, you're gonna need this.
Rating: - It's good, but not essential
I purchased the Expansion Pak only because of the marked improvement in Episode 1 Racer's graphics, and it was a very much improved graphics, but worth the price? Not really.With Perfect Dark coming up, I suppose I'll finally get my money's worth out of the Expansion Pak, but unless your game absolutely needs Expansion Pak (like DK64), there really isn't any reason to buy the Pak. None of my other games have shown any improvement, and outside buying games that need it, there's no way to justify the $ for minimal improvement to only a few games.
