Average Rating: Rating: - Beat GTA3 bring on Vice City!! Beat gta3 and it only took my forever! I really can't say how many hours I have put into this fabulous game, but I was definitely surprised on how many missions there are. I kept saying to myself "I've got to be getting close", but it just kept going. It amazed me that not only was there a lot of missions, but the missions were really well thought out and took quite a bit of unique strategy. It's possible for two different people to take on different methods for beating the same mission. After you beat the game you are still able to play, meaning you can save the game after you win and there will be no more missions for you to go on (your just left to have fun in the city). The music to this game is great. I've hooked up my minidisc player to the stereo and recorded some of the songs by chillin in a car with the radio on. Also when you beat the game and the credits role they play you a pretty good techno song as well. Now I just have to convert these nice sounds into mp3. Couple things I have noticed that you may have not. There is a car out there that has hydraulics you can trigger by pressing L3 button or R3 (can't remember which). Second, one of the radio dj's name is DJ Michael Hunt. Why is that funny? Think about when Bart Simpson prank call's Moe's tavern. Rating: - It just doesn't get any better than GTA III - or does it? Many, many, MANY hours into the gameplay of GTA III, I am still being surprised by new elements, areas and characters. The overall construction of GTA III is pure genius, allowing one to roam at will, or follow the mission objectives in several different ways. One of my favorite things so far is how new opportunities for jobs open up before you've finished with one source. For instance, at the beginning of the game, in Portland - after completing several jobs for Joey Leone, your pager starts beeping, telling you to pick up the payphone for jobs from Marty. You can still keep taking jobs from Joey, but if you want to... moving on is not only possible - it adds to the variety of the missions. And that's ONLY the first level! Even if you, for some strange reason, got tired of going on missions (it'll never happen) then you can do several other things.. including looking for secret items, carjacking unsuspecting individuals, getting into fights, harrassing gang members, picking up prostitutes in the Red Light District, taking target practice, learning to fly a plane, booby-trapping cars with bombs, and pulling off INSANE jumps at different spots around the city(s). Even after you complete all missions in all cities, you will be putting GTA III in just for the sheer fun of wreaking havoc in Liberty City. One note: Pay special attention to the radio stations playing while in the various cars. Change the station around, not only to find the one you like best (you WILL find one you like) but also to listen to the commercials. If you hear a web site advertised.... go online and check it out. This game is TOO much. I'm assuming that Vice City will top it, but I'll have to see it (and experience it) to believe that's true. GTA III is a perfect game. Rating: - GTA3 - The Best of the Trilogy and for PS2 Ok, let me start off by saying that I am a huge GTA (Grand Theft Auto) Fan. The first one didn't have great graphics but it was just so entertaining to play. Come on, you just get a kick out of running innocent people over with your car as they try to run despertly for their life. But anyway, then came GTA2. This one was considerably better than the first because it had much better graphics and a few new weapons. And now GTA3. What can I saw. The most amazing game i have ever played. The graphics are amazing...far better than the first 2. You have a huge arsenal of weapons. Better camera angles and gameplay and control is off the charts! The missions...what can I say...there must be at least 20-30 missions per level (3 levels total). Oh, and did i mention transportation. In this game you can drive all sorts of cars, trucks, vans..ect...you can also take the subway, train, boat and airplane! The coolest part of the game is if you steal a taxi, police car, ambulence, or fire truck...you can take over its job. For example, when you steal the taxi, you can start doing fares and making money by picking people up and dropping people off. It is pretty impressive. Also, the game is so realistic...morning changes to afternoon to night. And the mood changes too...like at night the gangs come out to reak havoc. And some new factor to the game are the police helicopters...yes they follow you and try to gun you down when you are on the run. And the police boat is pretty cool too, you can sink any boat on the water with its twin machine guns. The only thing missing from this game that was also missing from the original are the superbikes..remember them? If they added them to this game...it would be the best game EVER. So i must say that this game IS A MUST for any GTA fan or not. It will provide you with tons of hours of gameplay. You don't even have to do missions..you can just gun people down and run from the cops. That is almost as fun as the missions. If you don't BUY this game you are missing out BIG TIME! There is no need to rent it first either...trust me it is just THAT GOOD!
