Average Rating: 4.26 out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Confused about other reviews
I have had my GBA for about 2 months now. I was at first worried about the lighting and linking because of all the review.s

LIGHTING
However, i found that the screen is quite acceptable. Some GBC games are a little dark on there, but nothing too terrible. I have a light, but I rarely use it. I'm really confused about what everyone is talking about with the screen being too dark. Maybe they're just used to the washed out colors of the GBC?

LINKING
And as for the linking: I was pleased to find that my GBA worked with a GameBoy Pocket Link cable. That's right. As long as the cable is compatible with the system that the game was released on, you can link your GBA to the other system using it. My fiance has a GBC and we trade Pokemon all the time. My buddy and I played tetris between two GBA's using his GBP link cable. So whatever people are saying, it's BS.

This is the best hand-held system ever, hands down. Low power usage, SNES system architecture, and horizontal design(Making it easier for those with bigger hands to play) all make it great. I really hope they do not come out with a back lit version as that will reduce the battery life. As long as there is an nonlit LCD version for me, I'll be happy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A great system if you're young at heart
I have owned the GBA for several months and enjoy it so much. The graphics are very sharp for such a small screen and the sound is better than a Super Nintendo system.

Some pros: Use it right out of the box, lightweight, great sound w/ or w/out headphones, lots of non-violent games to play.
Cons: Might need too many accessories to fully enjoy, not for use in well-lighted placed, batteries run out too quick (*buy* a few sets of rechargeables), if you drop it say goodbye :(

There are over 40 really good games out for this system. My favs are --> Mario Kart (best non-violent racing game for kids), Golden Sun (rpg like Shining Force), Tony Hawk (skateboarding), Super Bust a Move (Bubble Bobble...think Tetris with bubbles), Castlevania Circle of the Move (great action game!), Donald Duck (best family game for any Nintendo system since SNES), Street Fighter II Revival (o.k. fighting game), Batman Vengeance (fast action like the GameCube verion), and WarioLand 4 (Wario is a dork btw ;)

If you want to keep your kids busy then this is a good starter system. This is more kid friendly then a Pl*ystation 2 or GameCube in my opinion. The GBA also will hook as a controller into the new GameCubes. Play Pokemon Crystal or Harry Potter on the GBA, two very family-friendly games that you can enjoy!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Handheld Mania...in 32-bit
This handheld system is the latest in handheld technology. It is 32-bit, with a 50% wider screen, stereo sound, 15 more hours of battery life, TWO Left and Right 'shoulder' buttons, four player linked games, NINTENDO GAMECUBE hookup, and more. And this system features an extensive list of game that you can play. You can play games from the original Game Boy, Game Boy Color games and is the only system compatable with Game Boy Advance Games, hence the name.

The Games that are out, and shall be coming out for this system are amazing. Take Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for instence: this game is th first 3-D handheld game, and its from the top selling Tony Hawk series. You skate around the 3-dimensional skate parks trying to improve your rider, complete goal, unlock new skate parks and skaters, and also, if your good enough, unlocking cheats!

Another game is Mario Kart: Super Curcuit. You can reace at over 20 brand new tracks in three differant engine speeds. If you race well, you unlock 20 more tracks, all of which are form the hit game, Super Mario Kart for the Super NES system of yesteryear. You can be all of the racer from the Mario Kart 64 game. Racers include: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey-Kong, and Bowser.

And more games are coming out all the time for this system. Some games that are coming out are: Mech Platoon: a Game Boy Advance version of Mech Commander; it's a Real-Time Stratagy game. And the new Army Men Game, which, like the early computer versions of Army Men (if you remember those) is an isometric/3-D style of a game with Army Men.

With all this stuff for the GBA, why wouldn't you buy one (unless you don't like handhelds). It makes for the perfect holiday gift. So click on that button at the top of the page and order one TODAY ....
