Average Rating: Rating: - Overrated product I heard these "Bop It" and "Top It" games were a lot of fun for the whole family. So I decided to buy it for my nephew. Well they are fun - for the first 15 minutes. After a while it gets a little mundane, and I imagine if a kid plays it enough, he/she will get good enough to the point were the toy is at the bottom of the toybox in no time. It's an average game that'll remain entertaining for a short time. One thing that I found difficult with the toy was that the commands were somewhat hard to understand, there needs to be some sort of volume adjustment. Rating: - A fun game that is great for kids Top It is actually a fun game. My brother and sister got it for Christmas and everybody in the house was playing it, even me and my mom. The object of the game is to do what the speaker tells you to do. It will always say "load it" first, then you just load the ball where it goes and it'll make a chiming sound everytime you do what it tells you to do correctly, then it'll either tell you to "top it," where you have to toss the ball to the top of the contraption, "flip it," where you have to toss the ball up in the air and then flip the handheld game over and catch it in the right place, or "flop it," where you just toss the ball straight up and land it in the same place where you loaded it. If you mess up by making the ball land in the wrong place or if you don't land it in the right place in a certain amount of time, the speaker will say "aaaaahhhh" and you'll have to start over. Top It is great for kids because it's a lot of fun and it might even be able to give them better hand-eye coordination if nothing else. Even for adults it can be fun and humorous at the same time, and even a pretty good challenge. I recommend Top It to anybody who has any kids in their family, it'll probably be one of their favorite new toys. Rating: - A new challenge for "Bop it" fans This toy does take a bit of practice to get used to the commands; but unlike its "Zing-it" yo-yo brother, this toy stays equally challenging once you figure out the patterns. There is 3 games: "Top-it", "Top-it/Pass-it", and "Top it Challenge" which is similar to "Zing-it challenge (3 or more commands are given and you repeat the combination as one move).Unlike "Bop-it" and "Zing-it", there is no "bee-bop" (sound-fx instead of voice commands) game. The commands include "Flip it" (toss the ball and flip the handle to catch), "Flop it" (just toss the ball and catch it on the same side), and "Top it" (toss the ball up and catch it in the Top of the "torch"-looking device). Some minor bad things about this product: You do always need the included bean-bag ball to play and because of this, it does not have the "travel-ready" or temptation to just "pick up and play" as others in the "bop-it" series. I like this toy because its a different twist on the concept and a nice challenge. It does take lots of eye-hand and balance coordination (get ready for the ball to bounce out of the top and pick it up fast enuff before you get bonked out). I'm not sure how well young children will do with this, but this is a good game to play with people who can stay focused.
