Average Rating: Rating: - A Great Hands-On Educational Experience I bought Illustory for my little sister (age 7) and she loved it. She had so much fun sitting down and putting together her own book. The kit comes with everything you need and the kids even get to choose what color they want the cover to be. She's incredibly proud of her book and she shows it to just about everybody she sees. Illustory has inspired her to become a 'book-writer' when she 'grows up.' Illustory is a great gift that just about any kind of child (or adult...I may still get one for myself!) will be thrilled with. Rating: - Don't buy one, get two! Whether your child is already a literary and writing wiz at home and school, or if he or she is finding it frustrating trying these skills, this is perfect. The child who is already doing well with reading and creative writing will enjoy this, no doubt. The child who is struggling will find this to be a fun and engaging project. When they see the end result, it can't help but encourage them just how fabulous reading and writing can be! Even if they have to dictate the story to you, when they see their ideas in print and their photos and art there as well, it could well be a turning point for that child. My son had tons of toys...this was a perfect gift idea. We bought two of them. One story is never enough! Rating: - Excellent I bought this for my seven year old niece for her birthday. She opened the gift on her way home from her birthday party and proceeded to write her life story immediately...in the car... She absolutely loved it! I was impressed that things like this exist.
