Average Rating: Rating: - I've witnessed it IN ACTION! I just purchased a 250 year old house in the wilds of New England. I bought this pest control device in anticipation of needing it in my garage, but it turned out that before I even moved in I spied a mouse casually passing time in my living room fireplace. The house was still empty and he was easy to track. I hadn't even opened the box yet, but I set the device quickly and plugged it in. The mouse immediately shot out of the fireplace to the center of the room, startled. It then dashed around in a circle, seemingly disoriented. Then it sped out of the room, and I haven't seen him again since. The only quarrel that I have with it is that it does make annoying 'clicking' sounds as it changes frequencies. I'll move it to the basement eventually, where it will be less conspicous. Lentek, if you can tune the unit to a frequency that only rodents hear, why can't you do the same with the click...? Perhaps country mice are easier to intimidate, but so far, so good! Rating: - Got rid of a VERY severe ant problem What a great product. We were invaded by ants last year. We tried everything, in the end we were spraying pesticide everywhere. They would just find a different place to invade. I didn't care for spraying all over our kitchen, much less the whole house so we bought one of these. They were gone within 2 weeks. We're buying another one for our garage and laundry room - they're a bit far from the first one. We still have a small spider problem but it's confined to an area outside of the range. It's interesting how some reviewers didn't get any results while others were incredibly successful. That doesn't make much sense. I guess you just have to try it to see if your pests are sensitive to it (and you're not). Rating: - Squirrels gone in 24 hrs I bought the Pestcontrol Deluxe in hopes of ridding my home of squirrels that had moved into the space between floors and between the walls. I was afraid they would chew through something important and their noise drove me crazy. I plugged the Pestcontrol device in and the squirrels were gone in 24 hours. The next day, after I was certain they were gone, I covered the hole where they had entered. They have not returned to my house. They just glare at me from the yard. The device did not bother my house cats (nor me) at all. A friend borrowed the device to get rid of mice. The mice left that day. I recommend this product to anyone. I was VERY pleased.
