Average Rating: Rating: - Chicago CD Reviewed! If you loved the movie as I did, no doubt you'll want the sound track. You get all the songs from the movie of which "Cell Block Tango" is probably the best, plus even more. My personal favorites are "Nowadays" sung by Renee Zellweger and later joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones. (Zeta-Jones surprised me with her strong voice while Zellweger adds a softer, sexier touch and they blend well.) Then there are two instrumentals towards the end of the CD by Danny Elfman, one of which, "Roxie's Suite" is outrageously good jazz. All told you get 18 songs and only one is a clunker, that being a hip-hop, rap style version of Cell Block Tango by Queen Latifah and 'Lil Kim which just doesn't belong on this CD. It's primarily a jazz album ... hellooooo! Overall, this is a great album. It's the most often played CD at my house right now. Rating: - Its Awesome I have never seen Chicago on the stage but I like the musicals from MGM and anything else musical. I went to the theather to see Richard, Catherine and Renee and I LOVED IT. I went twice in the first week and Bugged my brother singing what I could remember from the movie and bought the CD as soon as possible. Its great and better now that Richard and Renee got Golden Globes. BUY the cd anywhere you can....Oh Chicago starts at the cinema in 20 mins GOT TO GO................. Rating: - Fantastic Overall, I have to agree with most of the reviews already posted. The music is incredible. On the downside, The bonus material is weak. Queen Latifah should have just not done her song featuring Lil'Kim and Macy Gray, and Anastacia's "Love is a Crime" is as about as exciting as watching mud.
