I bought this pot for my tea-drinking husband. It has been one of the most wonderful purchases I have ever made. The water heats up very quickly and it takes very little counter space. Another wonderful feature is that it shuts itself off when the water boils so there is no boiling over of forgotten pots (a problem we have had frequently in the past). It also shuts itself off when picked up. The only down side is that it can sound a bit like a jet engine taking off when first heating up. All in all, a wonderful product.

I bought this kettle as a gift to myself. I was tired of trying to pry the lid off my old kettle. It was scorching hot and boiled dry more than once. There were no features and that is why it was such an [inexpensive] pot. This was the best gift to myself ever!The sleek design that comes in white makes it blend with any decor. It takes up less space because it is taller rather than wider. It holds a max. of 7 cups. The downfall is that it measures the water in liters rather than cups. This is easy to deal with because it is such a great product. It works quickly. It also has a cordless base with a cord that stores easily underneath. This helps to hide those ugly wires. I love the fact that you can put the kettle on the base from any direction. It is easy to take to the table when entertaining and it is pretty enough to put on a table. The see through window makes this a breeze to see how much water is in the kettle and if it is close to being done. The on button is on the handle with a great automatic shut-off feature. This prevents the pot from boiling dry. It also comes with a decalcification filter located in the spout. It can easily taken out and cleaned with vinegar and water. This is great because I have hard water which causes my kettles to become horrible looking. T-Fal recommends that if you have hard water that this cleaning of the filter needs to be done every 10-15 uses but I have used it more with success. The handle is easy and thick to hold. It is definitely comfortable. The lid is easy to get off and is hinged so that you do not have to pry it off. So many other manufacturers, have such hard lids to remove but not this one. This kettle boils 7 cups in 5-6 minutes. I actually timed it. My 2 cups of water boils in 2 minutes. This is fast! In contrast to other tea kettles this kettle is inexpensive and has the same features as many of the other pricier manufacturers. T-Fal is a reputable company and I love my T-Fal Vitesse. I highly recommend it!

Once in a while, you run across a kitchen utensil that is not only handy, but makes a task a joy. This is one of those items. It is fun to take ice cold water out of the Brita Water Filter-Pitcher that is in the refrig, and pour it into the Vitesse High Speed Kettle. No sooner do you flick the button on, in what seems like an instant, you hear it working. The next moment you hear the rolling boil, and the top on button pops indicating it is done, which automatically shuts it off. Takes only a minute. Saves a lot of time when you want to make a cup of tea.
This makes short of a lot of work.
It has a 7 cup capacity, but I have never used it for that much. Two cups, doesn't seem to take additional time, although with a stop watch, I'm sure it does.
Additionally, it is really nice to have the base stay on the counter, and the pitcher be able to be removed. No switch, or button to push. It just sits there by gravity, and effortlessly lifts off by simply picking it up.
You can use the pitcher on your counter top, or table because the bottom does not get hot on the outside. The plastic outer shell extends down to a lip that runs all around the outside. Like if you put a cup upside down, only the outside would be touching the counter.
Convenience, price, great engineering, all make the Vitesse High Speed Kettle a winner to buy. It is almost as much fun as the Black and Decker cordless can opener. Hope this was helpful.
