Even more skeptical when I received it, partially due to the fact it was in such a small box and it was very light weight. Well, was I suprised. It's turned out to be an EXELLENT buy. Works wonders on both carpet and bare floors. In fact, it works just as good or better on carpet than many other vacuums I have used. Assembly was a snap. Changing the trash tray is also a breeze. This turned out to be a light weight with heavy weight power. I'm so delighted with it that I am going to purchase 2 more as gifts. Rating: - I love my new Shark Cordless Sweeper. I owned those expensive Rainbow and Kirby vacuums, which were very heavy & I got briuses while using them. This little Shark is light, flat,& does his job really well. I don't have to play with the cord or change bags. I have 2 cats, and belive me this thing is picking all the cat's hair and more. I would recomend this item to everybody. Cleaning with it is a pleasure. Rating: - It's remarkable I can't get over this little thing. It just arrived last night; I charged it, and now I just used it in my carpeted room. Not only did it pick up things that I didn't even see on a carpet that was reasonably clean, but the mark of how good it just worked for me is this: about 1 and 1/2 months ago, I dropped an empty wineglass on my floor. Concerned that I would be walking barefoot or in socks in my bedroom, I carefully picked up every shard that I could see, checked it over with a flashlight and picked up whatever I saw, then used a "state of the art" vaccuum cleaner that is down the hall (in a utility closet) from my apartment, and then used a wet paper towel to be certain. I later vaccuumed the whole room to be extra safe (and because the rest of it needed it). Well, when I emptied the tray on the Shark Sweeper, I saw glass (not a whole heckuva lot admittedly)that escaped my previously quite careful scrutiny. Granted, I only just got it, but if this is how it will continue to perform for me, I am absolutely delighted that I purchased it. Again, this is just a first impression, but it is an extremely impressive one at that. P.S., this is the first time in my life that I have followed up on one of those "I saw it on TV ads" - I've never trusted them before.
