Nice glove. I have owned them for a year now and give them a workout building small sheds and other construction projects. Very nice for fingering nails or other fine work. Threading is starting to pull away on some of the pads, but still a good glove with a lot of life left in them. I will never go back to "heavy leather" type gloves again.

These gloves looked and felt great right away. I used them immediately on a carpentry project. After using them for sanding, I noticed, as reported by others, that the threads holding the palm grips in place started to come up or fray.Nonetheless, they felt great. I forgot I was even wearing them. The exposed fingers meant not having to remove them for certain tasks. The exposed fingers still got dinged up, but the covered ones were in great shape. Handling raw lumber was much easier. Over two months I have used them for the following tasks: Building outdoor furniture Outdoor fence and trail maintenance Non-native plant removal Refinishing furniture Demolition In all cases the gloves performed very well. I found that I wore them all the time, thus offering more consistent protection than gloves that I would normally take off for some tasks. They didn't protect against some blisters on the palms from using a post hole digger. In future I would wear gloves over the Ironclads for this type of task. I used them all day long, outdoors, in hot weather, and my hands stayed cool and dry. Since the initial fraying, there has been no additional wear. In fact, the fraying seems almost superficial, with no lifting of the pads they are holding in place. I washed them once, and they came out clean and still supple. I still think they are a bit pricey, but if you can afford them they are worth it.

Even though my framer's gloves are falling apart, I have gotten my money's worth as far as the savings go with band -aids ( - = An Ironclad rep told me that the newer glove models have improved stitching quality. I am going to order another pair to see if I can note the improvements.
