Average Rating: Rating: - This Kreg kit is one slick setup. I've used my Kreg kit for several months now. It sure makes a difference in the speed of assembly. I whipped up a router table in no time and a lot of other projects besides. Works great on dimensional lumber too. Used it to make the 2X4 framing for a utility building addition as well as the framing for flooring in my aluminum boat. It's great having everything all packed in the carrying case ready to go. Setup is a snap and sure cuts down on the need for lots of clamps. Rating: - Saves time I purchased my Kreg jig about a year ago. I've since used it for a number of jobs. The largest job being a check out counter for an antique co-op that is 16 feet long. Every joint in the counter (fronts to sides to bottoms to shelves etc) were all with pocket holes. No dados, plows, or rabbet joints. The end result was very strong and a lot of time was saved in assembly and construction without any sacriface in quality. Every woodworker has a use for a pocket hole jig. If not the K2000PP then one of their other models. I have owned other less expensive pocket hole jigs which could not compare with the Kreg. I noticed that Kreg has some very nice less expensive jig available. No, I do not work for or sell Kreg jigs! Rating: - The Best Kreg Jig Yet I started out with the simple Kreg "pocket jig" on a whim, and discovered that yes, it really does deliver as promised. Next I bought the improved "pro" model with the built in clamp, and passed the pocket jig on to a friend. Now it looks like I'll be passing that pro model on as well. The Kreg jigs just keep getting better and better. Unlike some makers, who seem to simply be looking for new features to market, the Kreg people appear to be listing to their users and feeding the comments they get back into project design. Pocket hole jigs are a great way to build cabinetry, and the Kreg jigs make all the difficult bits- like aligning the parts for assembly- trivially easy. I've used mine to make built-in cabinetry for my house, bookshelves, legs for my router table, a large mirror frame, tables and many other projects. They're self clamping (unlike biscuit joinery), and almost foolproof in use.
