Tradition of the Christmas Tree Collectible
|
Tradition of the Christmas Tree Description: Item # 89747 Most records place the origin of the Christmas Tree in Germany during the 16th century. Legend credits a theologian with the idea. During a walk through the woods on a starlit Christmas Eve, he was awestruck by the brilliance of the stars twinkling through the snowy tree branches. The sight reminded him of the majesty of the starlit sky on the first Christmas in Bethlehem. He was so inspired to share the experience with his family that he chopped down a snowy fir tree, carried it home and decorated it with candles, the next thing to starlight. Thus arose the Holiday Tradition of the Christmas Tree. May this ornament always remind you of the heavenly inspiration of the first Christmas Tree.
