Average Rating: Rating: - Only good for 4 weeks, after that it [stinks] I hate this pillow. It is NOT a good pillow for nursing. I found this pillow only worked well while my son was under 10 pounds. After that, this pillow began to sag and not support my son's weight. Also, it loses its shape in the washing machine, and becomes lumpy all over the place. I'm going to order a "My Brest Friend and see how that works. Boppy is just good as a toy, not a nursing pillow. and it is KILLING my back. I'm currently using just a throw pillow from the sofa and having much better results. Don't buy Boppy pillow for nursing, especially if you are large breasted. I had to constantly lift up my boob and then place it in my baby's mouth because the pillow put my baby up too high, higher than breast level. Excuse me Boppy company, my boobs do not grow out of my neck. Rating: - OK, but not nearly as good as "My Brest Friend" pillow I got a Boppy as a shower gift, and I thought I would love it, but I found that it didn't provide as much support as I'd hoped for nursing. On the recommendation of a lactation consultant, I got the My Brest Friend pillow (stupid name, I know), and it's the best thing I bought for my baby! It provides a shelf around your waist for the baby to rest on, leaving your hands free to position the baby, make sure s/he's latched on properly, etc. (It even leaves your hands free to keep one hand on the baby and hold a book or magazine with the other, once the baby's feeding.) The Boppy is cute, but do yourself a favor and buy My Brest Friend instead! Rating: - Hooray for Boppy:-) This pillow is a God-send. It provides superior comfort and I never have to worry about sore arms or wrists. The Boppy is so comfortable that after he is finished nursing, my son falls asleep on it. It's also great as a neck pillow for sitting up in bed. My husband uses it for his back when he sits in the rocking chair holding our son; it provides great support in that respect as well. I also love to prop my son on it and take pictures; it seems to provide a whole new world of discovery for him. It's excellent for 'tummy time'. I highly recommend this pillow for everyone who has an infant for the simple fact that it provides firm support and comfort when holding baby.
