First let me say that I have purhased several car seat and boosters for my son. He is almost four and very large for his size, about 50 lbs. He loves the cup holders, and the headrest is just perfect since he still take naps in the car so he head doesn't flop around. It also reclines so it is perfect for traveling when he takes really long naps. He thinks he has a racing seat from a race car! It is also so easy to take out and change to another vehicle. For once I only had to buy one car seat. I wish that they had come out with this one sooner, I would have bought it along time ago! I really recommend it to everyone, it is just perfect for my son, and perfect for my pocketbook.
Rating: - love the new booster
I had originally bought a Britax Star Riser for my 32 lb/36" three year old. We used the Britax Round About and loved it, so naturally went with the next step. My daughter hated it from the first. She is too small for it. When she would sleep, it had no support. I was very concerned for her safety. I ordered the Graco booster and she is very happy again. I cannot believe the difference in the two. I believe the Britax will be good when she is bigger and older, but for now we'll stick with the Graco. I recomend this seat for any one with a small toddler. We have a ford F250 extra cab and this seat fits perfectly in the back seat. It is hard to find a booster seat to fit in these seats, they are very short in leg room. I mention this because I have read a lot of reviews and no one mentions pick ups.
Rating: - Can't Touch This
We own a Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. A person could not fit between the toddler (3-year-old) car seat and the infant (10-month-old) car seat. With this new booster, a person can sit between them. This was a requirement for a replacement seat. That being said, we would have chosen this booster even if we did not have that requirement. We liked it so much that we bought a second one for the Ford Windstar. We are now considering the purchase of 2 more boosters and storing them for 2 years to ensure we have matched sets when the infant grows to 30 pounds. This booster seat is classy, inexpensive, and most certainly does the job. The seat fits well in both cars. The adjustable headrest/shoulder strap feature enabled perfect placement of the shoulder strap on our child. This adjustment can be made without removing the car seat, and need only readjusted when the child grows. It is a cinch to securely strap the child in. The seat back sides keep him from floppy around when he falls asleep. I thought the cup holders would be funky, but I was wrong. The child loves to put his small cup or little toys in them. The cup holders can also be pushed in flush, an important feature if someone is to sit beside the car seat. The pad is easily removable for cleaning. This booster was designed so that we can remove the seat back and just use the seat portion as a booster for when the child gets older. In short, this is the last child seat we will ever need to buy for our 3 year old. Most important, aside from safety, is that the child loves this seat. Once, when he was being stubborn and did not want to be strapped in, we threatened to put back the old child seat. He changed his mind and complied. (Hide this from the manufacturer) Cost was not a major factor in the purchase of this seat. We looked at this seat, and many others, before purchase. We read all the reviews. We decided why pay more for less when we can pay less for more.
