Average Rating: Rating: - This is a great carseat! We bought this carseat when our son outgrew his infant seat (at only four months old!). We went to Babies R Us and were able to try out multiple car seats in our mini-van. This seat was by far the best for rear-facing because of the knobs on the side that allow you to adjust the straps. All of the other carseats had a strap in the front of the seat. When the seat is rear-facing, that strap is nearly impossible to reach. I really don't understand why all of the carseats don't have a mechanism for adjusting the straps like this one does. We've had the seat for over 2 months now and have had no problems with it. We're definitely glad that we got this carseat. Rating: - Prefer this car seat to others We have used the Evenflo Triumph and Eddie Bauer models, and definitely prefer the Triumph. It's very easy to install and move from one vehicle to another; is spacious and very comfortable for our 10-month old; and the restraints are simple for adults to hook up and adjust as needed. The restraints are far easier and faster to use than the puzzle-type restraints on the Eddie Bauer models, especially when you're fighting the cold or inclement weather. Also, we had no trouble fitting it into a variety of vehicles, including a Toyota Corolla, Honda CRV and Toyota Avalon. I would recommend this seat to anyone. Rating: - Affordable safety My 7 month old son needed a new car seat - my husband and I spent several months looking into the car seats and reading the reviews on-line. Although the Britax seemed to be the best, it was a bit too much [$$$] to spend. We decided to go with the Triumph 5 Comfort Car seat [$$$] - what a deal!!! It was very easy to install, especially with the LATCH attachments. Not only does the car seat recline in 5 different positions (full recline for rear-facing) it was perfect for our Honda CRV - the seats in the back also recline to adjust to the car seat when it becomed forward facing. The best part was the tension knobs on the sides which allow easy and fast tightening/relaxing of the straps. No need to adjust the straps one by one, just turn the tension knobs! Good job Evenflo!!! =)
