Average Rating: Rating: - Only used 4 months but still pretty happy with it When looking for car seats before my son was born I thought that 20 pounds was a lot for a baby. Since this one allows for a baby up to 22 pounds I thought we'd use it about a year or so. I never even considered the height limit. My son is now 26 in long, which is the max height for this seat, so I'm now on the hunt for a new car seat. Overall, I have been happy with this seat. It is realatively lightweight and easy to carry around when your baby is small. Once they get heavier though it's another story. I like the fact that infant seats can be removed from the car easily without waking my son. Not only that, but putting a small baby into a seat can be challenging at first so being able to do so in the house instead of the hot car was also a blessing. There are a few things that I did not like about this seat in particular. First, the seat cover is made of some type of polyester or nylon (I guess to help fend off messes that baby can make) and it makes for a hot ride. My son would often be sweaty when I removed him from the seat. The straps were also a little annoying. They seemed to tangle easily--how I don't know--so I found myself fighting with them often. Overall, I think I would purchase this seat again. First and foremost it is a very safe seat! I found it easy to install if you follow the directions carefully. The cover was easy to remove and wash. I will say that if you don't mind waking a sleeping baby you may want to skip the infant seat altogether. There are plenty of seats on the market that accomidate an infant and will grow with your child through his toddler years. However if you don't mind incurring yet another expense, I would recommend this seat highly. Rating: - Big Baby My son was born 9 lbs. 3 oz., 22 inches and quickly outgrew this seat. On his four month birthday we had to switch to a rear facing convertible seat that stays in the car (real pain for going places). I guess this would have been the case for any infant carrier because they all have around the same weight and height maximum. If you think you're going to have a big baby you may think twice about purchasing one of these carriers. Or at least an inexpensive (still safe) model. I would have liked to go to the store and look at the inside space of all the carriers to see which looked roomiest. One good thing is that we only used it for four months so it still looks brand new. I guess I'll give it to a friend. Rating: - not for long My daughter loves it! She would love to spend entire day in it: eat, sleep, play. I guess it must be very comfortable. Unfortunately she is already to big for it, and she is not even 5 months yet. I give it only four stars because very often the window on the side says that the car seat is installed properly even while placed on the kitchen floor.
